What holding changes
The limits the holder tier will carry. Every wallet is on the free tier until the gate is switched on.
Same on every tier: direct messages to any signable wallet, groups, channels and token rooms, image attachments, a display name and picture, forensics on any pasted mint.
How the gate works
A balance is the only input. Nothing is signed beyond the sign-in, and nothing moves.
The wallet signs in
One signature proves control. No transaction is created.
Pager reads the balance
Read onchain by the server, never reported by the client.
It is compared with one minimum
At or above it the wallet is a holder; below it, free.
The tier follows the balance
Checked again at most every fifteen minutes, in both directions.
What it is not
Not custody
Pager never holds the token. A balance is read and compared with a number; nothing is deposited, staked or moved.
Not a promise
This page says how the gate works. It says nothing about price, supply, listings or timing.

Every wallet can send, receive, join rooms and set a profile on the free tier.

How is a balance checked?
Pager reads it onchain when the wallet signs in and again at most every fifteen minutes. The client never reports its own balance.
Does Pager custody anything?
No. Holding is measured, never deposited. No transaction is created and no token moves to use Pager.
